Do I need an account to use a GLP-1 tracker?
Not with Vialume. There is no sign-up because there is no server holding your records — everything is written to a database inside the app's private storage on your phone. Many other trackers do require an account, which means your logs are stored on their systems. The Data safety section of any Google Play listing tells you which kind you are dealing with, and the privacy page explains how to read it.
I started my medication before I found the app. Can I add my history?
Yes. Every record is backdatable, so you can set the real date and time of past shots and weigh-ins, and declare a journey start and starting weight. Your history counts from your actual first day rather than the day you installed the app.
Can I track more than one medication at the same time?
Yes. Each medication keeps its own schedule, its own reminders, its own injection-site rotation and its own line on the dose chart, so two medications on different scales are never mixed into one series. Whether combining medications is appropriate is a question for your prescriber, not for an app.
Are the charts free, or behind a subscription?
Every chart of your own data is free, permanently — weight trend with rolling average, dose over time, side effects against dose changes, protein and water, and the illustrative medication-level curve. The paid tier adds things the app does for you, such as reminders, a doctor-ready PDF report and automatic backups. It never gates access to records you entered yourself.
Can I export my data or move it to another app?
Yes. Vialume exports a human-readable CSV and a complete single-file JSON backup that can be restored later. Both are available at any time on the free tier, because an app you cannot leave is an app that never has to earn the next year.
What happens to my data if I lose my phone?
It is gone unless you have exported a backup. This is the genuine cost of keeping records on your device with no cloud copy: nobody can read them, and equally nobody can restore them for you. Export a backup periodically and keep it somewhere you will still have access to.
Will reminders show my medication name on the lock screen?
Only if you want them to. Discreet mode replaces the reminder text with neutral wording so nothing about your medication appears on the lock screen in front of other people.
Does the app tell me what dose to take?
No, and it never will. Vialume is a record-keeping tool, not a medical device. It does not give medical advice, does not recommend or adjust doses, and does not interpret side effects. Dosing decisions belong with your prescriber.
