Vialume Privacy Policy
Last updated: 4 August 2026
The short version
Vialume stores health records in app-private storage. Vialume itself does not transmit health records, but Android or device backup services may copy app-private data according to your backup settings. There is no Vialume user account, Vialume cloud sync, analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting SDK in the app. On configured store builds, RevenueCat uses a random anonymous App User ID at launch to retrieve entitlement status, even before a purchase. If a purchase exists, Google Play and RevenueCat also process its purchase history/token (see below); Vialume does not send them your health records.
What the app stores locally
- Shots (medication, dose, date/time, optional notes)
- Weights, protein, water, side-effect entries, and Progress Photos
- Your profile: Active Medication, Shot Day, Journey Start, Starting/Goal Weight, targets, display preferences
- Your onboarding and disclaimer acknowledgements
All of it lives in a SQLite database inside the app's private storage on your device. Uninstalling removes that device-side storage, but an Android or device cloud backup may retain or restore a copy according to your backup settings.
What leaves your device
Vialume itself does not transmit health records, but Android or device backup services may copy app-private data according to your backup settings. Vialume does not transmit your Shots, Weights, entries, profile, or Health Connect data. Optional subscription billing uses the network only as described below.
Vialume's own external data paths are limited to the automatic RevenueCat entitlement check and actions you initiate:
- CSV / backup export — writes a file you choose to share or save, via Android's share sheet.
- Backup import / CSV import — reads a file you pick.
- Health Connect — if you explicitly grant permission, Vialume reads and writes weight records via Health Connect on your device, and reads step counts — that is all it looks for from other health apps. Granting access is optional and revocable anytime in Android settings. Vialume does not transmit Health Connect data anywhere.
- RevenueCat entitlement checks and Vialume Plus purchases — on every
configured store-build launch, the RevenueCat SDK generates or reuses a random anonymous
App User ID and retrieves the current entitlement status. This happens before any
subscription choice. The App User ID identifies an anonymous RevenueCat customer; it is
not the entitlement identifier
plus, and it is not a Vialume account. If a purchase exists, Google Play Billing handles the transaction and RevenueCat also receives its purchase history/token so access can survive reinstalls ("Restore purchases"). Without a purchase, no purchase history/token exists, but the anonymous App User ID and entitlement check still do. RevenueCat receives no name, email, or health record, and the data is not used for advertising or tracking.
Deleting your data
Vialume has no user account to delete. Open Settings → Start over → Reset all data and confirm twice to permanently delete the active Vialume database, photos, and settings. Uninstalling Vialume or using Android Clear storage removes the remaining app-private storage.
JSON and CSV exports and automatic backup files are outside app-private storage; you must delete those files separately. Health Connect data is managed and deleted separately in Health Connect. Android or device cloud backups created by the operating system or older Vialume versions may be retained or restored; manage or delete them in your device or Google backup settings.
To request deletion of the anonymous RevenueCat customer data used for Vialume Plus entitlement and purchase history, email support@parktechsystems.com with the subject Vialume data deletion request. Purchasers should include their Google Play order number. Users should include the in-app RevenueCat Support ID where available. If you have no purchase and no RevenueCat Support ID is shown, state that in your email. Vialume collects no name or email address and does not link the anonymous RevenueCat App User ID to your identity. Clearing Vialume storage or uninstalling the app removes the device-side cached identifier. Support can target a RevenueCat record only when you supply a Google Play order number or RevenueCat Support ID.
None of these deletion actions cancels a Google Play subscription. Deleting Vialume or requesting data deletion does not cancel a Google Play subscription. Cancel it separately in Google Play subscriptions. Google Play and RevenueCat may retain transaction information where required by law, for fraud prevention, or to resolve disputes.
Permissions the app requests
- Notifications — to remind you about Shot Days. Scheduled entirely on-device.
- Health Connect (optional) — weight read/write, step counts read-only, only after you grant it.
- Biometric lock (optional) — authentication happens on-device; no biometric data is accessible to the app or leaves it.
Children
Vialume is a tracking tool for adults managing prescribed medication. It is not directed at children.
Medical disclaimer
Vialume is a tracking tool, not a medical device. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and never computes medication recommendations. Always consult a qualified medical professional about your medication and health decisions.
Changes
Any future Vialume feature that transmits health records (for example an optional paid sync service) would come with an updated policy and an explicit opt-in. Android or device backup services remain governed by your backup settings.
